'N N fNfN girl who was initiated into the ways of the Campfire Circle. The characters were appropriately clothed in Campfire attire donated bv one of the Seniors. Another sketch was the presentation of the interior of the present day study-room as seen from the point of view of art students, especially those studying psy- chology. This was enacted by Mary Ninde and Martha Cress. The crowning feature of the evening was the mo- ments we spent back in the colonial days with Betty Barth and Bob Richards, attired in colonial cos- tumes, weaving a spell around our hearts as they trip- ped the fantastic steps of the old-fashioned waltz to the strains of soft, dreamy music. But, alas! the spell was broken and we came back to the present day with the same dancers attired in collegiate styles and dancing the Charlestong but even then they danced their way into our hearts and we'll' never forget them. As a last stunt, the Freshmen and Faculty were in- vited to the movies by the Seniors and were entertained immensely by seeing themselves as others see them in the form of comic valentines thrown upon screen. At the close of the programme refreshments were served in buffet style. The Seniors are always ready to answer to the call of eats , we learned to do so as Freshmen, so when the Y I

Bonny Loulse had a wonderful trme mspectmg all the toys and was the recrprent of many us ful and beau tlful grfts After Santa declared there were no more gnfts for us we partoolc of a light repast and wended our ways homeward We all were so busy gettlng caught up on sleep af ter the hohdays that there seemed to be no trme for parnes untrl the Senrors started ln a a1n wrth a Valen une party for the Freshmen and faculty February 8 The theatre was the scene of the gala event and was decorated m a most unrque and novel fashlon conslst mg of huge srlhouettes of colomal figures drawn m black and red on whxte backgrounds These xnter mmgled w1th black and whlte strlpes decorated wlth red hearts and covered the walls of the theatre A 'programme of several clever stunts was presented by the Seniors Mary Nmde read the excrtmg and dramatrc poem Lord Ullen s Daughter whlch was dramatrzed by John Schulthexs playmg the part of the daughter Ralph Brrkmeyer the groom Ruth Bonne wrtz the father Lord Ullen and Evea Laramore as the boatman The scene was cleverly enacted show1n the characters movmg over the water rapldly to escape the wrath of the Lordly father A mock 1n1t1at1on of the Campfire Grrls was pre sented by Justlce McNatt playmg the part of the Camp fire Guardlan Bob Richards and John Schulthels were the Campfire glrls and Ralph Blrkmeyer was the new l I- 4 , ..
