Planning meals, arranging tours, and securing housing for approximately three hundred students are just a few of the many tasks performed by our student body officers this year. Because the annual meeting of the Arkansas Association of Student Councils was held in Fort Smith this year, the administration of our presidents and vice presidents included many unusual and difficult duties. Bob and Marilyn led the student council in making the initial plans for the meeting. After the semester elections Tommy and Mary Beth completed plans for the convention and served as presiding officials. Mrs. Hallie Beth Thackberry, the student council members, and the student body should all be congratulated for cooperating in planning an excellent convention. MARILYN POWELL Her friendly smile . . . her work as first semester vice president . . . her selection to Girls' State . . and her work as a Columbian . . . all this has made a place for Marilyn on the Hall of Fame.
