surprised at the good fellowship shown by our classmen especially our UPPER classmen' We drd not lose confidence but continued on our way with light hearts, not realizing that unwarranted vacations cannot be taken wrthoct due compensation Copying dry history is not what is generally conceded to be just exactly what rs commonly called fun ' Finally, not being able to endure our calmness any longer the Seniors evidently glad of an opportunity of taking some of the age from their careworn faces, appeared one morning attrred quite successfully for the purpo e CAnyone desiring further information with regard to the matter of reducing ones age will be furnished same with full directions upon inquiry D Not to be left lzehrnd we immediately pulled down their colors much to their quiet consternatron and strarghtway proceeded to put up our own This move called forth such acts from Authorities that we instantly made peace among ourselves and backed by the Classes of 20 and 21 we moved agafnst our opposing ofncrals with a ven geance Certainly F IV' H S never before witnessed s rch thrrllrng and hair rarsmg scenes' Everything ended beautrfully nevertheless and relations were again placed on a frrendly footing Henceforth affairs went smoothly at least there were no more open demon tratxons So we graciously ushered our dear enemfes out of High School and into tne cruel world with and I thrnk We wrll be pardoned rn feelxng thuslv reasonable relief' All too soon drd the time cnme when we were to take our places for the last time rn good old F M H S Still confident and assured of success we resumed our studies with the full realization that we were now weighted with responsrbrlrty Ahead of us, looming up rn the far distance we saw our futures ready to be more fully developed and made use of We were saddened to think of leaving the school we knew so well but higher ambrtrons and hopes led us to believe that better and as pleasant experiences awaited us further on Peace and quiet reigned over us until the Seniors took a rather sudden notion to start the ball rolling, and on the Friday before Washington s birthday as a suitable remem brance presented ourselves bedecked with our colors silver and green The next Monday the Juniors were indeed surprised to vrew what was supposedly the remains of a representative of themselves suspended from a telephone cable and, farther on their goat in the same positron Some little excitement was occasioned when a few of the members of that small but mighty class of 20 hired a vehicle to rescue their representative from such disgrace More ex cxtement followed when much to our amused surprise we found that unable to await our legal departure the Iunrors had prematurely made away wrth us 28 V ' Y n 6 V .
