Gillette Malcouronne Sponsor ................e......... Mr. McKeown In connection with the Hi-Y club, the Junior Hi-Y was organized under the direction of Mr. McKeown. The membership of this organiza- tion is open to all freshmen and sophomore boys who are interested in following the work which is undertaken by the club. The Junior Hi-Y, which is now in its second year of existence, has improved greatly in the character of its work this year. Regular meetings of the club are held every Tuesday night, and once a month the meeting is in the form of a supper meeting. The program this year consisted of discussions by the members of the club on questions of Christian life and social problems. Other forms of entertainment have included a banquet and a picnic. The organization has not yet decided whether membership in the Junior Hi-Y will end with the promotion of a boy to the Junior Class of High School, when he will be eligible but will not automatically become a member of the Senior Hi-Y club. Mr. Blevins To foster Christianity and to become true Christian young men are the aims and desires of every Hi-Y member. The Hi-Y has completed another successful year under the leadership of Coach Blevins. At the regular supper meetings, which were held every Monday night, questions of vital interest were discussed. This year Hi-Y took a trip around the world on the Graf-Zeppelin. Speakers were invited to help the club study each country. Coach Scott led the club in ten weeks of Bible study. A cup given to the club which had the highest average in an examination on Bible study was won last year for the third time in succession and is now a permanent possession of the Fort Collins Hi-Y. Besides the regular Monday night suppers the members of Hi-Y have had a Father and Son Banquet, a supper for their mothers, and a banquet and a picnic to which they invited their girl friends. Representatives of the various state Hi-Y clubs were sent to Denver to attend the State Council. Tom Turner represented Fort Collins. Let us think less of men and more of God. I V II 'l'lX'l'lN'I'Y

Mr. Farnham The Benzene Ring was organized two years ago by Mr. Farnham. Its purpose is to promote student and public interest in chemistry, and to show the students the value of chemistry in everyday life. In order to become a member of the club a student must make a grade of ninety per cent for one six-weeks' period. The club elects its own officers at the first meeting. William Avery was the tirst president of the club. The meetings are educational, but are carried on in a social manner. Initiation is a gruesome affair, from which the new members emerge with burnt fingers, black hands, and horrible tastes in their mouths. Other programs were of special interest also. At one meeting, Dr. Platz gave a talk called Chemistry in the Digestive Tract. At another interesting meeting, Mr. Polley gave a talk on Radio. During the year, a short play was presented by some of the members. The meetings were enjoyed by every one and the club has done much to promote more than a casual interest in chemistry.
