Some of the things it does to beautify our school are to keep the lawn clean, to trim the shrubbery and to clean windows. The sponsor is Mr. Donald Thorn. Activit JR. A demonstra- tion was given by the Fort Ashby Volunteer Fire Com- pany, concerning the company's equipment. EDUCATION WEEK The program was directed by Mrs. Howard and Mr. Sayers. Jim Hoey gave the reading Education and Jean Boyland displayed a poster on the basic benefits of education. The film Freedom to Learn iss was shown to guests and students. Hiers SAFETY ASSEMBLY Mr. Earl Wolford, Nationwide Insurance representative, gave a talk Safety with the Automobile.“ A student demonstration of braking a car in an emergency was given after his address. Mr. Knierim, Vernon Isner, Kay Dolly, and Troo- per Noechel demonstrated reflex- reactions in stopping a car - from a given point, at a given time, to a given point.
