Days of preparation and worrying were eased though. by an early liberty call after an inspection. Also in keeping up with advancements, were award ceremonies. The Captain, as you can see, really enjoys handing out advancements and other awards. Everyone is proud to see their buddies making rate.

From Superman to the Fonz. we had a big turnout of all sorts of halloween pranksters. One of the big hits was Robbie the Robot. Complete with a pre-recorded voice and lighted eyes, this automation from the future graced the ship's decks and entertained everyone- What a bunch. Standing in the line up they looked like something from a crazy rewrite of The Wizard of Oz .
