CWO Hyman M Division is comprised of Machinist's Mates whose main job is the operation, repair, and maintenance of the ship's propulsion and auxiliary equipment. They work in the engine rooms and the fire rooms where temperatures may exceed I I5 degrees. MM's must work in this environment daily

Boiler Technicians form B Division. This division is responsible for the steam producing equipment or boilers as we all call them. BT's light off these boilers and make sure they are operating at top condition to enable the ship to move at any given speed. BT's also test the fuel and boiler water for impurities and perform general machinery repair and overhaul on the boilers.
