,M GFOIQEIG -1 I Ai' ' In the year '78-79, the Spanish Club had a busy schedule. In September they had their first meeting at Western Sizzler for the new members. During Home- coming they made a foreign language float with the French Club. ln January the Spanish Club had the Rock-a-thon to collect money for a charity and to help boost the Spanish Club. During February, everyone in the Spanish Club as-well-as the Spanish classes were busy making projects for the Foreign Language Festival in Valdosta. in March they entered the Creative Arts Festival at Clayton Jr. College. April brought a trip to Mexico for a week during Spring Holidays. The last thing of the year was the 9th grade Reception and end of the year party. l really like Mr. Fernandez, he goes out of his way to help you when necessary. He is also fun to be around Doug Drew. I joined the Spanish club to get involved with people . . . Sz l 4 . N. fl. .... . ,M program. It provides the school store that Deca students work in. The Deca Club officers, usually the president and vice president, go to the Deca Confer- ence. They are held in different parts of Georgia. They have been to places like the Macon Hilton, and the Royal Coach in Atlanta. In the Deca classroom, you learn all the aspects to getting a job. The Deca Club and classroom is very excit- ing. The funniest thing that heppened to me while l was working the school store was when the boy that was supposed to work the store the period after I work didn't show up and I couldn't leave the store . . .
