The girls were all beautiful just as you would expect at a beauty pageant. As the night drew to an end the finalists, Miss Congeniality, and finally Miss Forest Park were chosen. Miss Lisa Fiayner now holds the title and wears the crown for Miss Forest Park of 1979. There have been many exciting moments during my past 3 years at FPSH, yet the most exciting was being named Miss Forest Park. lt was an unbeliev- able dream and just as exciting as I had ever hoped it to be. Having been given this title is far greater a privilege than l had ever expected and l am grateful for the opportunity it has brought to me. H355 I get . fum g I .E The 1978-79 Homecoming Court was a beauty to behold. The girls selected all beamed full of pride at the game on October 20th. You had to be there to realize the true happiness the girls attained. The thing I will remember most about Homecoming night is my friends and their hugs . . . Holly Hill. Being on Homecoming this year was a great experience for me. It really made me feel good inside to know that I could be out on the field and be recognized . . . Nan Bishop. Homecoming is like a dream come true when you walk through the sabre team. I'm glad I was a part of it, I will cherish it always . . . Gretchen Wages. I really care about my friends here and my being on the Homecoming court showed me that my friends care about me Sandra Welch. I didn't hear them call out my name in the gym. They had to come to my room and get me. I thought they were playing a joke on me until I saw the ribbon . . . Nah Huff

292iFeatures 16727262 xi ., .'! It meant very much to me getting First Runner Up to Miss Forest Park. I was very excited. I have never felt anything so exciting and in- teresting in all my life. It was fun being around so many girls that were so scared and nervous. I did not feel alone. That night will always be a part of my life for as long as I live Caprice Gunther. When I received the title of Second Ftunner Up in the Miss Forest Park pageant, I was in total shock. I could not believe it! Being chosen was one of the highest honors I have ever received. This special recognition has brought that much more excitement .... ,1- i 2:1 'fffffl i I r to my senior year. The night of November 18, 1978 will never be for- gotten. Those few min- utes of shock, excite- ment, happiness, hugs, kisses and tears will nev- er be re-lived but it will always be remembered and cherished. This has indeed made my senior year complete . . . Cindy Miies. I could not believe it when I got the Miss Congeniality Award. It was a good feeling to know that my friends had voted for me.
