Winter is tinally leaving us and the cold weather with it. Spring is coming. March was the month for festivals. On March 2-3 was the District Choral Festival. All the chor- uses from the district gathered at Pointe South Jr, High for competition. The chorus gave a great performance. During the ninth and tenth of March the band had their District Band Festival. The bands from this district gave their best at the festival. Starting on April 7 the band took oft for Canada. All the band members were anxious. lf you weren't in the band you missed a really terrific trip. The easter bunny and 'tlet's go to Florida mood came to Forest Park Senior High. The vacation started on Friday April 13. Some might say Friday the 13th is an unlucky day but here at Forest Park it was not unlucky because we didn't have to goto school and take boring notes. We had to come back on Monday .April 23. Three days after we got back from vacation the selected chorus members went to the Sheraton Biltmore to sing in All-State Chorus. Soon after the band got back from Canada certain se- lected people got to go on another trip to Savannah. They participated in the All-State Band Orchestra. There was much excitement among the juniors and seniors as the Junior -A Senior Prom drew near. On May 18 the juniors and seniors were dismissed early to get ready for the big night ahead. Many people attended the prom and it was a big success, On May 24 and 26 the Chorus had a musical entitled The Sound of Music . The play was great and so were the actors. As the end of school drew nearer all of the students and teachers at Forest Park Senior High are anxious for June 2 to come. On June 5 the Seniors of 1979 will graduate.
