148!AdS On January 3rd, everyone came back from the Christmas holidays to start the 2nd quarter. On the 5th of January, the basketball teams played Newnan at home, It was a good game and both teams played well. On January 9th, the students of Forest Park attempted to register for Spring Quarter. I say attempted because the whole time everyone was confused and didn't know where to go. On January 10th, the Beta Club and the Chorus participated on a fund raising project by doing inventory at Ftichway. On the 11th of January, Co-ed Y had a meeting. There was a Media Festival on the 12th day ot the month. Also on the 12th, North Clayton's basketball teams came to compete with Forest Park. The Panthers record is very good thus tar, and l'm sure it will get even better. On January 29th, the Chorus performed an opera, ancl it was a big success. On January 30th, the basketball teams faced Morrow here in the gym. On February 1st, elections for Government Day took place. On the 2nd of the month, the Panthers had a tough game at home with Griffin. There was a big turnout as usual. On February 3rd, ROTC had their military ball at Fort Gillem, Fayette County's game was at home on February 6th, lt turned out to be a big success and everyone had a great time. On the 9th of February, the Seniors received their cards and invitations for gradu- ation. This year Government Day was on the 14th ot the month. Students from the Forest Park Senior High School took over the city government of Forest Park and sent legislators to the state capitol. On February 13th, PTSA had a meeting.
