These are the fabulous floats built by the many groups at our school. Building floats is alot of hard work, but also a lot of fun. The Drama Club placed first, An- nual Staff took second, Beta Club was awarded third and Honorable Mention went to the Chorus. The fun- niest thing that happened while we were working on the band float was when we painted Kevin Day's face with glue Janelle Butler. lt's im- portant to be represented in the pa- rade because it tells the meaning of Homecoming . . . Chris Hanie. Work- ing on floats shows spirit Ken Loach. I think working on our float . vw 12! Opening The week of Homecoming was filled with excitement as well as involvement. The week began with the Burn the Bird contest and was followed by Backward Boro Day. Wednesday everyone wore tags and jerseys to support their individual clubs and organizations because it was Proud Crowd Day. Team Appreciation Day on Thursday was climaxed by the largest Homecoming Parade ever at Forest Park and a spirit building bonfire. Firday came very slow for the students as everyone was anxious for the big evening to begin. Along with Home- coming that night was the Jonesboro game and at halftime we were on the way to a victory.
