- October was the busiest month of the season. The Panthers won their first game with a super victory. They beat Riverdale 41-7. Unfortunately it didn t last long enough. The Panthers lost 21-14 on Oct. 13 to Newton County. The week of Oct. 16-20 was spirit week at FPSH. The slogan was PANTHERS STAND TALL and the whole school did just that. Monday was Burn the Bird Day and students donated a penny for a feather. The money Wednesday was Proud Crowd Day. The clubs and organizations showed their spirit by wearing their club jerseys. Thursday was Team Appreciation Day and Mr. Football player ofthe year elections were held. On Thursday afternoon the Homecoming parade took place on Main Street in Forest Park. The floats were extremely good this year and the clubs who entered tried hard. First place was given to the Drama Club for a great float. The Retrospect Staff won second place by a close score. Beta Club came in third with a very good float. Chorus got honorable mention and they worked hard to present the best float they ve ever had. After the parade the bonfire was held at FPSH. Panther spirit was showed and the bonfire was a smash. Mr. was for their class. Tuesday was Backward Boro Day. Everyone copied Jonesboro by dressing backwards. eff 1 A ALL FOREIGN V 1555.11 AND nomasrrc ie- 3j'f' BRUMLOW-TAYLOR DATSUN. INC. I ' A PAINT AND som' sr-lop ...,5.::,i?.:2.1Ei?.i??.f.O::...
