T C LASS PROPHEC Y Well here xt IS 1958 the graduat1on annlversary of the 47 48 class I remember so clearly that beloved mght Today wh1le I was shopplng I ran xnto one of the old class mates that graduated w1th me Guess who'P Dear old Margaret Cason She IS the f1rst grade teacher at Forest Park now you know and she showed s1gns of a try1ng day She Sald that Eugene Butterbean Henderson was the head manager of Mounta1n VIEW s largest Department Store She added Eugene 15 the father of two sets of beaut1ful twlns all g1r1s When I left Meg I went down Peachtree and as I passed Bennett s .Tewelry Store Beverly Barton and Barbara Terrell I can t recall the1r marrled names were carrylng on an anlmated conversatlon about a lovely d1amond r1ng one of them was to get on her annlversary I contnluea walk1ng down the street About that t1me the b1ggest car Ihave ever seen drove up Guess who was dr1v1ng 1t'P Mattle Bell Mltchell and Jane W1ll1ams was w1th her They stopped and came over to see me Mattle Bell sa1d she was very busy these days because she was the pres1dent of Forest Park s one and only bank Jane sa1d she was busy do1ng housework They told me that B111 Stephens W11k1nS Calloway and Robert Hu1e the owners of Forest Park Theater had a monopoly on the show bus 1ness of the South Slde Havlng f1n1shed my shopplng I dec1ded to stop and see mov1e To my surprlse I saw Eleanor Holloway was starr1ng OPPOSITE Roy W1ll1ams 1n Love on The Rebound It was pro duced by Glenn Roberts and wr1tten by Dorothy Srkes The News Reel was very 1nterest1ng It had a plcture of the World s L1ght Welght Woman Boxlng Champlon .T1rnm1 Dav1s ASI left the mov1e I ran 1nto Janet Ph1ll1ps Norma Hendr1cks and Paulla Jean Harrls They had shaken the1r husbands for one evemng and had started out to have d1nner and see a mov1e Janet told me that Margaret Harms was the organ1zer and head of the Forest Park Nomen s College I got home turned on the radxo and settled down for a l1ttle rest when I heard a fam1l1ar VOICE Bel1eve lt or not It was Ruth Shxelds s1ng1ng the popular song of the day The announcer sa1d that Ruth was Slflglflg wxth a new band led by Beulah Gossett L1 N 149 5 X 9 .N GM Q vp-1 rg'-A wg Yi 0 -i1 Y9 ,psf, ,if X ' . .
