We, thirty-eight Freshman girls, have had very little time to make high school history.
We are having an interesting first year. We have enjoyed knowing our nine home room
teachers, as they came and left. It is hoped that we may have Miss Sams and Mrs. Cox
for keeps.
Under the direction of Mrs. Cox and Mr. Green, the Freshman girls put on two pro-
grams at chapel. Much time, and preparation were given these programs, and we were
proud of the results.
We defeated the Sophomore girls in two games of baseball during the winter.
The role of the Freshman girls as "cow's tail" of the high school during lunch hour
could certainly not be omitted from our history. They say we'll be able someday to laugh
over the hours we have spent in line watching through the windows upper classmen
devour all the spaghetti and meat balls and milk. lt's been dirlicult to show good sports-
manship as we stood on the outside looking in. At any rate we have tried.
