In 1934 a new tradition began for an old community. Thirty-one years ago Mr. Shellie M. Bailey came to Forest Hill. And since that time leadership, achievement, and progress have become synonymous with the name Forest Hill. The past three decades have seen additions to the junior high building, the erection of the auditorium and the elementary building, the shop, the cafeteria, the science building, the high school building, the Rebel stadium, and the Shellie M. Bailey Coliseum. Under the capable leadership of Mr. Bailey, Forest Hill has become what it is today--a school where reading, writing, and arithmetic, are not the only subjects taught. At the termination of thirty-one years of faithful service the students of Forest Hill say Thank you, Mr. Bailey. 14
