SECRETARY AND BOOKKEEPER Fulfilling her duties as bookkeeper Mrs. Oneida Brantley keeps an up-to-date-account of all expenditures. Friendly, congenial, and competent describe Mrs. Bailey as she serves as school secretary. COUNSELOR With efficiency and good humor Mr. Nelson serves as high school counselor. Mr. Nelson also helps administer aptitude and scholarship tests. FIFTH GRADE Teaching their students to combine studies and fun are the fifth grade teachers, Mrs. Griffing and Mrs. Alewine. SIXTH GRADE Preparing students for new adventures into junior high school are Mrs. Cheney and Mr. Splain. 12

SCIENCE Aware of the increasing need of scientific knowledge in a space age, the five teachers in our science department challenge thier students to step up the tempo of their learning. Opening up new fields of interest to the junior high students arc Coach Brock, Mrs. Durr, and Coach Chandler. SCIENCE Teaching with genial humor and skill, Coach Thomas and Coach Durr are continually alert to new developments in biology, chemistry, and physics. ELECTIVES In preparation for future occupations students learn how to cook, sew, speak, correctly, handle various machines, ami keep physically fit under the guidance of Mr. Scott, Miss Jones, Mrs. Gibbes. Mrs. Webb, Mr. Splain, Mrs. Allcgrezza, and Miss Lick fold. MUSIC Music hath charms to soothe the troubled breast. Creating an appreciation for music and developing native abilities are the aims of Mrs. Mildred Brock, Mrs. Dot Touchstone, Mr. B. B. Brokaw, and Mrs. Margaret Sullivan. II

FOURTH GRADE SECOND AND THIRD GRADES Readying students for higher grades arc Mrs. Kynerd, Mrs. Moore, and Mrs. Finch, who teach second and third grades. Mrs. Chandler and Mrs. Ogletree encourage fourth grade students to study hard and learn those multiplication tables . FIRST GRADE Mrs. H3II and Mrs. Treloar, first grade teachers, are giving their students a fine start in their education. 13
