Coach J. N. Brock The 1965 edition of the Forest Hill Rebel Basketball, under the capable leadership of J.N. Brock, compiled a 24-5 record up to District play. Having won all but two regular scheduled games, and these losses being only to highly rated McComb and Pelahatchie, the Reb hardwood aces bounced every Little Dixie team they played. The Rebs also defeated Jackson's city schools, Central, Murrah, and Provine, at least once. This year Coach Brock’s basketballers captured three trophies: the Hinds County Invitational Tournament for the third straight year, the North Little Dixie Conference title, and the over-all Little Dixie Conference championship. And although the Rebels did not win the annual Rebel Classic, they certainly gave it the best they could. These boys ought to be congratulated for such a season. J. P.
