MRS. LOIS LEE EWING MR. VIRGIL WOOD HEAD INDUSTRIAL AND FINE ARTS today and our three music teachers, Mrs. Brock, Mrs. Touchstone and Mrs . .Ewing, teach their students how to appreciate music as one of the Fine Arts. An excellent training for the business world is afforded to us through the outstanding works of Miss Miller, Mrs. Till, and Mrs. JLittell. Mr. Sahler, our drivers' education teacher, also works with the Safety Council. Forest Hill offers excellent courses in both ■ practical and fine arts, ■ for along with the practical side of life one must also have the enjoyable j side. Mr. Wood, our f smiling Industrial Arts teacher, works long and hard to perform his duties. Sponsoring the FHA and teaching girls how to be good homemakers in the future keeps Mrs. Webb and Mrs. Hollingsworth very busy. Music is an important part of everyone's life MRS. THOMAS HEAD MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT Mathematics has always been important in the school curriculum but in the Age of the Satellite when mathematicians are so necessary it is especially important. The calm and orderly teaching methods of Mr. Rutland are especially conductive to learning the intricate details of higher mathematics. Mrs. Ferg our beloved high school principal, also teaches a class of solid geometry and Trig. Mrs. Killion, who is responsible for our famed Octaves, teaches arithmetic to our eighth graders. Mrs. Thomas, who teaches first-year algebra, is known for her patience and dedication to her students. Under the guidance of Mrs. Purvis, Mrs. Branscome, and Mrs. Davis, our junior high students are diligently learning arithmetic. Our library is rapidly expanding under the able leadership of Mrs. Ramsey, our gracious librarian. Mrs. Bailey, our school secretary, works long and hard to keep our business straight. MRS. S. M. GAINEY The elementary teachers must be fine outstanding men and women who are willing to dedicate their lives to shaping the destinies of others, and F.H. is blessed with such teachers. Mrs. Law and Mrs. Macione find it very important to build a strong foundation for their students' understanding of the progress of today's world. Mrs. Beard and Mrs. Berryhill further under- take to provide important knowledge to their students. Mrs. Dunn, elementary principal, devotes constant time and effort to her teaching. Mrs. Moore, Mrs. Pounds, and Mrs. Sherrod diligently mold the path ahead for the adulthood of tomorrow. Mrs. Sipes provides worthwhile and interesting school pro -jects.
