Get that ball! Mass confusion is displayed in this Forest Hill encounter FOREST HILL 6 BRANDON 7 The Brandon Bulldogs pulled the biggest upset of the year when they edged out a narrow 7-6 victory over Forest Hill's Rebels to knock the Rebs from championship contention in the North Little Dixie. Jarring Joe Patterson scored the Rebels lone touchdown in the last period as the Rebs tried desperately to pull another victory out of the bag. Brandon's determined Bulldogs managed to keep possession of the ball and insure their upset win. Leonard Rickman, Mike Phillips and John Beasley led the Rebels, who were playing without star quarterback, Jerry Tidmore. as each team scrambles for the ball. FOREST HILL 0 CLINTON 26 Clinton's North Little Dixie Champions, led by hard charging fullback, Jimmy Dukes, ran to a hard fought victory over the Forest Hill Rebels to the tune of 26-0. With the Rebs not able to churn a touchdown movement, the Arrows then moved to their first score as Dukes scored on an end sweep to send the score to 7-0. Two and one half minutes later, the Arrows were in scoring position after intercepting a Rebel aerial. But the Arrows did not stop there as they moved to a 19-0 half time lead on the strength of a pass to end Johnny Stanley. With linemen Rodney Brechenridge, Jimmy Ray, and Mike Phillips leading a strong Rebel effort, the Rebs held the Arrows to only a lone second half score as Dukes ran for his third score of the night. The Rebel offense was led by hussl-ing Bill Hobson and charging Joe Patterson. Quarterback Jerry Tidmore is shown being hit for a loss after having to pounce on a loose ball.
