Heads High School Mrs. Ferguson's myriad responsibilities range from scheduling classes, assemblies, and club meetings, to disciplining an erring student. All of her actions seem to have one purpose--to keep the complicated affairs of this modern high school running smoothly. An air of businesslike efficiency, coupled with a diplomacy which makes even those she reprimands admire and respect her, makes Mrs. Ferguson a skilled and valuable administrator, but more important, a truly dedicated educator. Heads Elementary For six years Mrs. Elizabeth Dunn has worked patiently and creatively as elementary principal toward providing higher educational goals in her elementary grades. With efficiency, sound leadership, and good-humor, she has played a vital part in improvement of the faculty and students. In addition to her administrative duties Mrs. Dunn teaches a section of fourth graders. Local Board of Trustees

Heads County Schools For the past six years, J. E. Aldridge has worked patiently and creatively toward higher educational goals in the Hinds County Schools. Mr. Aldridge, known widely for his achievements in educational planning, has supervised the completion of many schools. In a rapidly changing world, he has kept pace with the growing and varied needs of education. Mr. Aldridge labors unceasingly to better relations between the school and community. Heads Staff Harmoniously heading a faculty of 59 and a school enrollment of 1602, Shellie M. Bailey, serves as principal of Forest Hill High School. Having led the school’s staff since 1934, Mr. Bailey has completed his twenty-seventh year in this position. As his key responsibility, Mr. Bailey works to provide teenagers with the best education possible. Cooperating with the teachers and students, the affable leader solves problems encountered in daily routine. Along with his demanding tasks as principal, Mr. Bailey was State Supervisor of the School Bus Driver Training program during the summer. County Board of Trustees J. W. COMBS A. MRS. MISS MILDRED THRAILKILL HEAD ENGLISH DEPARTMENT MISS SHARON DUNN (A“ In the world of today it is absolutely essential that we learn good English. To learn one must first be taught and Ole F. H. has top notch English teachers. Sponsoring the Annual, teaching MACBETH, and urging her students to THINK are only a few of the duties of Mrs. Hardy. Mrs. Walker performs the double duties of teaching English and Latin. Interest and Love for her students are displayed by Miss Thrailkill as she teaches and sponsors the Beta Club. Noted for her inspiring devotions, Mrs. Nichols also inspires her students to greater heights in English. Mrs. Gibbes and Mrs. Deevers are doing an excellent job in preparing their students for the more advanced courses in English. Miss Dunn, Miss Clay and Mrs. Barry, whose faces were new at F.
