DEDIC TIO
MARGARET CLAYPOOL
Dear Mrs. Claypool,
During the past four years, your presence has meant companion-
ship, aid, and friendship to the one hundred sixty-five members of the
Class of 1960. The door of your office has always been open to us
in time of need. During these four most important years of our lives,
you have watched and guided us while hoping that we accomplish the
things for which we strive.
Under your competent supervision, our student council has gained
the respect of our student body and our community.
Our class will always respect and admire you for your kindness.
Always remember us, for we surely will always remember you. May
God bless and keep you always.
Very sincerely yours,
The Class of 1960

APPRECIATION
HAROLD SOWERS
Dear Mr. Sowers,
How can we ever express our gratefulness to you for the guidance
you have given in presenting this record of memories to the students
of Ford City High School?
We will always remember you, Mr. Sowexs, and how you were never
too busy to take time to help and advise us. You willingly gave up
every Wednesday night and many evenings after school when you
might have given time for your many other activities and responsi-
bilities.
We will always honor and respect you and remember you as a
wonderful friend.
Gratefully yours,
The 1960 Trireme Staff

V RTIN E. THOMPSON
Under the direction of Martin E. Thompson,
the Ford City High School Varsity Chorus has
become one of the most active and vital organ-
izations in our school. One of the most outstand-
ing choral events of the year was the sponsorship
of the Central-Western District Chorus in our
school. Because of Mr. Thompson's capable lead-
ership, this event was a great success. We wish
to thank Mr. Thompson for the fine choruses he
has produced and also for the many things he
has done for our school and our students.

MARGARET CLAYPOOL, Sponsor
The nrain project of the Student Council was to secure
funds to bring a Foreign Exchange Student to our high
school. Enough money was also secured to send a Ford
City student abroad.
Good relations were maintained with Kittanning High
School when a Friendship Dance was held following the
annual football game.
We managed the concession stand at the football games,
supervised the school club program, sponsored the award
system, held our "Snowball" Christmas Dance, and super-
vised council and class office elections.
On behalf of the council officers and members, I would
like to thank the student body for the co-operation given
us throughout the past year.
