She sent me to the town doctor, the former Shirley Queck, who is married to a Captain in the Navy. Shirley told me that Beverly Knorr was a laboratory technician in the neighboring hospital and was to marry the head doctor next week. She also told me that Sharlene Freeman was the town's beauty operator. Then I went to see the town grocer, Larry Darling. He told me that he still was driving a "46" Chevy but was think-ing of getting a station wagon. I discovered the reason for this when he introduced me to his wife and eight little darlings. While I was talking to Larry I met his bookkeeper, Sharon Brown. She had been working as a secretary and bookkeeper since graduating from a commercial school. My assignment was now finished so I boarded a train back to Flickerville. The citizens of Wolftown did have something in common. They were the graduating seniors from Fontanelle High School in the year 1957. lf l"6Ll"L6LlfL Una Kimes has served as our librarian for the past four years During this time given nas been appreciated by the present students and will be appreciated by the in coming librarian and future students FARMERS ELECTRIC CO OPERATIVE INC Greenfield Iowa DLI' of she has established a card filing system with a card for each book. Weeks of work were cul- minated in the parade of October 12 where the seniors captured first prize, the freshmen second, the sophomores third, and the juniors fourth. The floats were well built and made a fine appear- ance during the half time ac- tiwties at the football game where Queen Edythe the Fontanelle Wolves tied the Anita Spartans 6-6. The identity of the Home- coming Queen for 1956 was re- vealed at the Coronation cere- monies immediately following the football game. Queen Edythe Nichols and her escort, Gary Ehrenfried led the grand march which began the homecoming dance.
