Cheerleader This year the Cheerleaders have tried very hard to lift the lagging school spirit. They encourage students to attend all sports activities and games. Every year the Drill Team represents Fontana Junior High in various parades in Southern California. They march and do routines in such parades as Fontana Days, Orange Show, Gardena, Chino, Homecoming, and special events at the high school. The team consists of fifty girls and is sponsored by Miss Judith Workman. Members must have a C average and no more than 2 N's or 1 U in citizenship. First Row: Co-captain E. Castillo, Captain D. 914 FW gwfmgql Highlights Of The Fall Season 1 t The school year began traditionally with Orientation Day held on September 5. It was to acquaint the seventh grade students with the school. In a few weeks, the CandySale began, Students gi selling the most candy won radios. After-school activities included many exciting football games with post-g ame celebrations. Students had the oppor- tunity to participate in the clubs of their choice. On October 11, Journal- ism students attended a Yearbook Workshop at Chaffey College. They were shown different techniques of layout and design, Ninth grade MGM students took the first field trip of the fall to Los Angeles County Museum. QS
