Regardless of the good intentions of all, these weekly meetings sometimes turned into social gatherings. However, a lot of hard work was done and by the time school rolled around, the staff had the yearbook well on its way. The Future Teachers' Club, which will soon be affiliated with both the state and national groups, was organized in December 1960. Officers for the year were Cindy Artripe, President, Marilu Capri, Vice Presi- dent, and Nancy Barcus, Secretary-Treasurer. The main purpose of the club is to stimu- late interest in teaching as a career, and any- one interested in the teaching profession may become a member.
