HISTORY The Class of 1961, embarked upon four years of high school on September 10, 1957. Filled with expectations for our freshman year, we elected Jay Barker, president, Dean Bliss, vice-president, Billie Barton, secretary, Bob Bishop, treasurer, and Joe Orosco, sergeant-at-arms. During the year we sponsored the annual Tolo Dance and a dance to raise money for the football lights. Our sophomore year was highlighted by the Sophomore Hop. Our officers were Dean Bliss, president, Scherrie Atkinson, vice-presidentg Nancy Paulus, secretary, Alice Clayton, treasurerg and Louis Dudley, sergeant-at-arms. Dean Bliss, Georgia Bowdre, Sharon Baxter, Margaret Farquhar, and Bill Watson led us through our exciting Junior year. The Junior Prom and the Junior-Senior Banquet were our major accomplishments. At last, we reach our Senior year, a little worse for wear, but filled with excitement. We will long remember our senior year and the fun we had on the Senior Teach Day, Senior Skip Day, and at the Senior Ball. On June 9, 1961, we received our long awaited diplomas. 29? I?
