Majorettes Some twenty years ago, under the direction of XVilliam Woodhouse. the first Follanshee High School hand was introduced to the students and the townspeople. Since then it has hecome a standard part of our high school life. This year the hand is under the direction of Charles W. Shackleford. an amhif tious young war veteran. Assisting him is the student director, Sanders Latimer. The hand's activities this year included halfftime performances at foothall games, taking part in Christmas parades in Weirton and Wheelingg playing for the Gay Nineties Revue and Senior Play: and participation in the district hand festival at Weirton. After many weeks of anxious waiting, the new hand uniforms arrived. They were received just in time for the hand festival. At the time of puhlication, the results of the festival are not known, hut we can he sure that the Follanshee High School hand will make a favorahle showing, then and in the future.
