FOLEY vs. SILAS 41 O The following week the Lions traveled up to Silas, and once again came home with a victory under their belt. Norris Nelson again led the scoring parade with two touchdowns, while W. L. Smith, Gene Underwood, Rex Beech, and Vance Parks tallied once each. This game ended more like a track meet than a football game. FOLEY vs. MONROEVILLE 39 O Once again the Lions traveled a long distance and again came home victorious. The two teams battled on even terms the first half with the Lions scoring once. In the second half the Lions ran wild, and with hard, bonerattling blocking in front of speedy backs, scored five touchdowns. Nelson again led the scorers with two tallies, FOLEY vs. ROBERTSDALE 30 O The Lions met the Bears in Robertsdale and won their fifth consecutive game. Foots Willis and Lyle Klug scored two touchdowns each and Rex Beech scored on a long run once. The Lions were a little too overconfident but came out of it very well. FOLEY vs. ATMORE 7 21 while Holmes, Beech, Underwood, and Willis scored once each. FOLEY vs. FLOMATON 32 0 This was the Lion's first home game, and they made an impressive appearance. Nelson once more was the leading scorer with two T.D.'s. Smith, Beech, and Parks scored once each. James was outstanding at his guard position. The whole line played exceptionally well. Atmore! - the big game! The Lions played the Blue Devils on even terms, but they did not seem to have the scoring punch when the opportunities came. The Blue Devils scored first after being held in check the first quarter and most of the second. The half ended with Atmore leading 7 to 0. Early in the second half, Atmore scored again by a wide sweep around right end. The Lions weren't to be denied, however, and came back by scoring on a pass from Parks to Willis. Avinger drop- kicked the extra point. The Blue Devils squeezed over one more tally in the final quarter. Atmore was seeking,revenge for last year's defeat from Foley, 7 to O, Lion's Captains Avinger and Holmes meet Tiger's Captain Traywick on Armistice Day.

Neal of Brewton. Everyone got to play in this game. W. L. Smith and Gene Underwood scored twice each while Nelson, Parks, and Perce scored once. Harold Avinger drop-kicked. five out of six extra points and passed to Broox Holmes for another. FOLEY vs. BAY MINETTE I4 7 Armistice day is here, and while the bands are blaring and everyone is celebrating, the football team is taking it easy getting ready for the big game in the afternoon. The Lions were favored by three touchdowns, but had a hard time defeating the fighting Tigers of Bay Minette by the score of I4 to 7. Back Nelson and end Willis each tallied once to put the game in the bag for Foley. FOLEY vs. FAIRHOP E I2 I3 County championship at stake! Fairhope started off with a lot of power scoring twice in the first half and one extra point which proved to be the difference. The Lions scored twice in the last half, but were unable to make either attempt at the extra point. Holmes and Nelson both scored once. SPIRIT! SPIRIT! SPIRIT! FOLEY vs. sEMMEs TECH y I9 6 Little Rex Beech led the Lions to a I9-6 victory in it's last game of the season by scoring all three touchdowns. Semmes Tech had a hustl- ing but dutfought team. So ends a Iong-to-be- remembered season of the Lions of Fole High. The inspiring leadership of coach Bilil Mere- dith 'will be remembered by every member of the team.
