GRANDMOTHER That is Donnavie Burrus You know the old lady who built the home for cats, down on Catnep Street She and I were such good friends, but I liked all my class mates PEGGY Did you really like all these boys and glrls in your class, grandmother? GRANDMOTHER Nearly all of them, my dear Each one had something good about him, and I always tried to find out the good traits and close my eyes to the bad It makes life much happier, if you do that PEGGY Who are these two girls, grandmother? I heard him last summer while I was in Boston Here's Annie Ruth She went as a foreign missionary Here is Leona Parker She was Latin teacher in our old school until she was pensioned She never mar ried, though Jimmy Suarez was crazy about her She could not stand his bad English.
