I Betty Holk Orrell offi- cially welcomed everyone and introduced special guests Mr. and Mrs. Henry M. Lyda of Tuscaloosa. The Rev. Lonnie Owen requested a moment of silence followed by prayer in memory of Charline Ash, Hazel Callaway, Alma Hurst, Alberta Krantz, Celena Moore, Oliver Moore, Tibbie Norrell, Evelyn Ross and Eleanor Pearl Soesbe. Wyline Scott Ebert ser- ved as master of cere- monies for the humorous awards presented. From the original 65 graduates there were 45 represented. 5 It was decided by all to f' have a second reunion in f five years. . Miller is one of 3,730 high- point veterans whom the Magic Carpet is bringing hack to the States aboard the l'. S. S. Sara- toga. The U.S.S. Saratoga was sche- duled to arrive in San Francisco, Sunday, November IB. Following his arrival in the States he will be sent directly to the Separation Centers near- est his home to complete the for- malities of obtaining his dis- charge before returning to civil- ian life. llis brother, Arthur, after serv- ing 13 months as first class radio operator overseas has returned to the States and is now stationed at Empire Oregon.
