Near the end of our Junior voyage, before our Senior sailors left us we entertained them with a banquet This was on the plan of a Japanese Garden dinner, The beautiful flowers and numerous small tables made a lovely pleture All the sailors and staff declared that this was the lovllest banquet ever given on board At last the time had come when we were to lose our superior sailors The Junior girls formed a lovely archway of the class colors for the departing sailors on their last evening on Joard After leaving these SJllOlJ, we spent a shoit vacation at the Harbor Refreshed from our rest, we embarked on September 17th for the last lapse of our Journey Our captain and otherofficers were, Captain Louis Helton hoiat Mate Thelma Pilgrim, Second Mate Maegelle Davis, Quartermasters Betty Heilmeier and J V Harrell, Cabin Boy Harry Wynn Our new sailors were Harry Jynn, Russell Sherman, Charles Mcuann and Esther McCann. The class motto chosen was WTO Night we launch, wheie shall we anehorn, The class colors were led and white We realized tnat our last sailing was over Senior Sea, o early in the year we made plans for our departur . Again oui athletes were ready to pley The football team was organized with D.o Hamilton as Captain Other sailors of our group who were active weie Sidnay Howell, Norbert Jolt , oarvis Jalters, Lewis Helton, Thomas Rhodes, Leon Avera, and Howard Dugger The team won many games and were especaally honored for holding the annual game on Jovenbei Ilth between Baldwin County Tigers and oui team to a nothing to nothing score It was the first time that the Tigers had not won a victory over our team in several years. After the football game the senioi girls, with the help of other sailors entertainedthe public with a beauty contest This was given to help iaise money for the athletic association At the end of the football season the players were again entertained with a banquet, by the P T A wome Members of our group were also aetive on both the boys and girls basket ball teams. The teams were considered among the best They fought and won aany 53.1105 The time had come for tne Senior sallois to begin real work We were to present two plays The irrst oi these, uEverybody's Getting HQIfl9d', was pre HThe spanish Onion N Both plays were declared a huge sucees .
