Ie all survived our eighth r de examinations and the trips we m de to Columbus in the seventh gr de nd Tuscora eivhth grade he next important event in the history w s into high school as Hgreenu freshmen This ye r was big CLASS HISTORY two exciting P rt in the our entr nce one, we elected cl ss officers nd selected our cl ss motto, colors, and flower We chose NF1ith, Hone, and Charityv as our class motto, and the red rose s our flower with red and white as our colors It w s a gr.nd feeling this being a sophomore Now we were no long er considered Wgreenn freshmen, for the grand title of Wupper classmenu w s bestowed upon us Qmostly by ourselves The magority of us engoyed our Junior year most We took an active part in producing the Junior play, editing the annual, entertaining the senior cl ss with banquet at the Catholic Church and a dance in the gym nasium afterwards Q also purchased our class rings this year hth great anticipation and feeling of Joy, we took up the work of the senior ye r Thoughts of graduation and prep ration for it kept us all in a ouiet state of happiness Yet a feeling of sadness is ever pres ent with us, for we, as students, are leaving forever these halls and classrooms The class of '59 has always taken an active part in athletics, and those who have participated are leaving F H S with pleasant memories of those times Our class initiated the first Homecoming ever held in this Tea. In May we expect to be very busy with graduation exercises, bacca laureate, our trip to New York and receiving our diplomas, We have always been an energetic zine sales helped senior trip Now our high new and different great part of the class and our bake sales, soc hops, stationary and mags us greatly Te held many dances to raise funds for our school days are drawing to a close and as each takes a road, no matter where it leads, we shall realize that a foundation was l id during our high school career in Flushing We feel deeply indebted to our teachers for the help they have given us through high school and also in the grades. we know that we have very often been unruly and troublesome but we are very thankful for the inter- est and patience with which they helped us over the difficulties and on to our goals. --Susie Di Clemente Patty Roush 15 1 if . rv E Q . . . . CLASS PROPHECY WORLD NEWS EXCLUSIVE natelme 1975 Mr and Mrs wayne Ritchey have Just returned home from a 15 month round the world tour Mr Ritchey had the great pleasure of seeing many of h1s former students during h1s travels Before going abroad, Mrs R1t chey 1US1St8d she have her halr done 1n New York Clty at the La Pandora Beauty Salon owned by Misses Sandra Harris and Phyllls Plckerlng They are the creators of the new ha1r styles The Blob, The Satel ite and The Fuzz Top Whlle Mrs Rltchey was becomlng more beautlful, Mr Rltchey declded he needed a tr1m, so he went to Flfth Avenue to P16TT6'S Barber Shop, ope ated by kenneth Shaw In New York, they boarded a K L M, get a1rl1ner for London During the fllght, they were attended by stewardess, Barbara Thatcher After landlng ln London, Mr Rltchey v1s1ted Tellson's Bank to cash some trav eler's cheques and was greeted by 1ts presldent, the former Betty Robin son L1v1ng also ln London, now Just a housewlfe, 1S the former f1lm star, Mlss Annette Grear Whlle flylng from London to Parls, they met Walter Singhaus, a colonel 1n the A1r Force, going to h1s com and 1n Germany Mrs Rltchey couldn't leave Par1s w1thout buy1ng some of the latest fashlons, so they Barylak She flnally decided on a new dlnner gown belng modeled by Par1s's top model, Lynne Lyle Mr Rltchey, great race fan that he ls, lnslsted they attend the Grand Prlx at Le Mans Dr1v1ng in this thr1ll1ng race were Amerlcans, Davld Gossett, dr1v1ng NF1reba1lU, and Mlss Barbara Upchurch dr1ving UTurbo, t1e T6TP1bl6u, and Paul Foraker dr1v1ng NThe Flat top Speclaln They traveled on to Monte Carlo, where they saw Multl M1ll1onaire Kenneth OW1HgS try1ng to lose some of h1s mllllons From Ponaco they Journeyed on to Vlenna, home of the noted chem1st, Norman Manteau, w1nner of the Nobel Prize, for h1s work 1n extractlng gasollne from potato peels They took a train from Vienna and arrived 1n Cenoulvanla, a new independent Natlor set up by the noted American plumber, Andrew Cencula Worklng 1n the U S Embassy 1n 1ts Capltal City were stenographers Janet Karchner, Patty Roush, and Judy Delaney In Cenculvanla, they boarded an airliner for Moscowlupon arrivlng in Moscow, the cap1tal city of our Slst state, they were greeted by Ronald Luyster, d1rector of Globavlslon, the new world wide telev1sion net work From Moscow, the Rltcheys flew to the middle East, where they were granted an aadlence with the Sheik Abdul Abehop, formerly known as David R1ggle, and h1.s 100 w1ves 16 0 . , O .
