SENIOR CLASL HISTORY We, the Seniors of HL9,H are the by-products of twelve years of schooling, During these twelve years of manufacturing, we have in- creased and decreased 1U number Just as products are made so are Of the thlrty one who started out together 1D the flrst grade, only seven of us have completed our educatlon thus far together We are Ruth Hughes, Pat Roberts, Jean Thompson, Donna Whlte, Jeannette Poland and Duane Leone In the year of l936 we were Just llttle tots startlng lnto the long process of becomlng educated At the tlme we had very llttle knowledgg of what was ln store for us Flrst we learned our ABC'-v then we were taught to read words of slmple meanlng and to count But the most lmportant thlng that we were taught was to work together to make our tasks easler and more pleasant As we progressed along the road to a brlghter future, many new classmates Jolned us and many new problems were put before us to under stand and solve Our mlnds became broader and we began ln a small way to understand tQlS thlng, called llfe As tlme marched on, we undertook even more dlfflcult problems All the tlme we were bSglDD1Dg to ander stand better +h1s changlng world of ours At last the long awalted day arrlved and we were freshmen Here we were golned by other members of our class We found that tlere were more problems to be solved than we had ever dreamed of We worked hard and found that lt was not too dlfflcult lf we would make up our mlnds to try Vlrglnla Splga was elected presldent of our class and through her efforts we managed to have nlce partles and engage 1D other act1v1 tles Hrs Hays, our sponsor, was always on her toes to see that we were dolng the rlght thlng. 12 , A , We. o 9 . . . 9 . . ,.
