HOMECOMING 1959 Sparkling festivities, the pep rally, the parade, the game, the dance:--:it was a weekend to remember. Color, excitement and pep. These all made our first real homecoming a success. Lighting the firecracker of events to follow was the pep rally bon fire . We cheered while the familiar strains of the Fight Song blared from the horns of pep band members. The snake dance left the participating Students exhausted. We'll remember the surprised look on Coach Muse's face when we ended our homecoming parade at his house. Our prancing Caballero on horseback added to the color of the game. During the halftime ceremonies tribute was paid to the composer of our Fight Song, Mr. Duane Miller. Hail Flowing Wells, our new Alma Mater, was presented at this homecoming. The sparkle of the band and the snappy drum ca- dence escorted our home:- coming queen and attend-3 ants on to the field. To see the familiar faces of old grads back once again brought our home- coming of 1959 to a sucess- ful close.
