WESLEY FOUNDATION RELIGIOUS The Wesley Foundotion (Methodist Student Group) desires to serve the students in all phases of their college lives and to make Christ a living reality on our campus. The object of the organization is to represent the Christian way of life that those who ore a port of its fellowship might become effec- tive spiritual and social contributors to the society of which they are a part. Planned recreational events, hours of informal fellowship and sharing, drama through the Wesley Players, a Student House Choir, and weekday services of worship bring the students closer together. More than fifty council members and their assistants give their time and service to bring meaning to the program. WESLEY PLAYERS RELIGIOUS Wesley Players is a national, religious, drama group whose purpose is to study the connection between drama and religion, to develop a consciousness of the possibilities in this field, and to promote an in- telligent program of religious drama in the Methodist Churches. The activities of the group include an annual spring banquet, the presentation of plays in connection with the religious holidays and at other times as they fit into the total program of the Wesley Foundation, and the presentation of a trophy to the outstanding Wesley Player of the year. The group endeavors to fulfill its purpose and to aid the church through the Bishop of its Diocese and by Catholic action. In formal discussions, lectures and programs at the Newman House are conducted to promote spiritual interests. Charity is exemplified by cooperation of the members among themselves and with world- wide affiliates. This past April the club acted as host for the 1952 Convention of Southeastern Pro- vince of the National Newman Club Federation. Picnics, informal parties, receptions, the Newman Club weekend and the annual Christmas party are a few of the social events the club sponsors during the year. All Catholic students on the campus are automatically members of the Newman Club. By paying dues they are considered to be active members and eligible for initiation. The Newman Club ' s motto, Heart Speaketh to Heart is the watchword for members throughout the year.
