FLORIDA MILITARY ACADEMY
HE FLORIDA MILITARY ACADEMY was established in 1908. The Academy
has been fully accredited continuously since 1914. Courses of study
consisting of nine months of carefully planned academic work for college
preparation or for business are offered for those who desire the best in pre-
paratory school education. The school is non-sectarian.
The buildings and equipment are modern to the last degree, fireproof
and steam heated. Each cadet room has windows opening on the patio, and
on the exterior, giving cross ventilation. Connecting with each cadet room
is a complete bathroom with tub and shower.
The senior school covers the four year high school course with one year
of post-graduate work offering special preparation for the government aca-
demies, standard colleges and universities. In addition to this, a junior
department is operated covering from the first through the eighth grades.
If a cadet falls below our standard in scholarship, we tutor him without
charge.
The Florida Military Academy takes pride in its faculty and in its
ability to prepare boys for college and business. The faculty consists of
men who have demonstrated their ability to teach and who have a thorough
understanding of boys. The records of our graduates prove conclusively
the type of training received.
Florida Military Academy is a member of the Association of Military
Colleges and Schools of the United States. The War Department furnishes
arms and equipment, and inspects the school annually. The R. O. T .C.
training schedule is followed by the military department.
A band of thirty pieces is a feature of the school. No charge is made
for instruction to the members of this organization. , ,,
The annual tuition rate is all-inclusive and covers uniforms, laundry,
haircuts, side trips and every other known expense. A program of a band
concert, chapel exercises, and a dress parade is offered each Sunday to
patrons of the Academy. u
