' v k V X ie: 1 RH L1 x D -... ... . -,. al Delores Cox X The fourth grade came up so very fast, It was the year of forty-four and five, That the class of '56 really became alive. They were Gary, Claney, Mildred a d Yvonne, Delores, Harold, Corky and Doug-a d on with the teacher who was sweet Mrs. Myers, And I should say we really did try hero Dale joined the class in the second year, And Miss Edna Padgett was the teacher dear. What a great and wonderful time we had, Now the third grade it must be, with us a group of busy bees, Trying hard to do our work, An poor Miss Harriette Padgett on the alert. And we were in the high school building at last. Finger painting an a little badness, especially the boys, But Miss Sherman, our teacher, we did enjoy. The fifth grade now was ours to try, And I'll tell you for sure, we weren't very shy. Mrs. Shaw was lucky to be the teacher fair, And we gave a Mother's Day Program-with oh, what an air. We were ready to challenge any teacher we could seek. First it was Mr, Nickels and then Mr. McPeek. I think we had fun in the good ole days, Learning and playing in a good many ways. Claney Suffield At last it was the seventh grade, and, oh, gee, Ne were allowed to be upstairs, and we ran arou d with glee. Mrs. Speaks was the sponsor. We soon found out what fun we had on a hayrack ride going all about. The eighth grade it soon turned out to be, And the Hutchinson salt mines we were lucky to see. We had a very good sponsor we knew, For he was Mr. Wilson who was always so true. Ready for high school you may be sure, An Mr. Jennings was a sponsor you could endure. But initiation we didn't escape, For we had to go through just so much red tape. And Carlos, Richard, Carl, Joe and Don Came and joined the class so we can go on, The sponsor this year was Mr, Coleman, An a good one-act play we certainly did land. nAll Aboardn was the name of the play we gave, Which was a very great day in our memories to save. To be an upperclassman was really great. At the Junior-Senior Ban uet CEvening in Parish we really ate. Richard Garcia HOh, Aunt Jerushan was the Junior Play, And we are very happy to say, Miss Taylor and Mr. Moberly were the sponsors we had, An getting our class rings made us anything but sad. At last we have made it to the Senior Class, And we hope that each and everyone will pass. To Kirkwood Lodge we will go, To obtain for ourselves that certain glow. Un for commencement which will come last. Hy, how the year has gone so fasts Phe Seniors wish you all success In your future years at dear FHS. g -flvonne Osgood Seeing if we could learn to subtract an add, -1 a F. ff.
