Beginning the year of what next ... Above all, 1978 was a year of people. Seniors, in their triumphs and disasters, etched themselves unforgettably into memories. Not only was the traditional Palmer Field ceremonies for graduation day moved into the gym for the first time, but the class of '79 will be remembered also for the renovation of the building and spirit of our school. 1. Ready to begin commencement, are the anxious seniors. 2. Valedictorian, Tim O'Neil gives his farewell to the graduating class. 3. • • Art Club officers for 1979 were president, Jim Davis; vice-president, Carla Espinoza; secretary, Scott Wehrman; and treasurer, Lori Neary. Tickets were sold by members for an oil painting for the FHS Art Scholarship. It was sponsored by the Delta Epsilon Sorority. The art club also contributed to the extravaganza. Members put a lot of work into the exhibits. Some members competed in high school art shows. Foreign Language attended two fairs, one in Denver at Denver University and the other in Pueblo. Club officers were president, Regina Sapp; vice-president, Juanita Canchola; treasurer, Carmen Hughes; and secretary, Debbie Barnes.
