“ What Happened to Uncle ” SENIOR PLAY Mr. Charles Lennox, Director When Lloyd Douglas comes home from college to get his Uncle’s approval of his recent bride, he finds out that his uncle, Carl Douglas, has been missing for a week. Things really get interesting when Lloyd’s wife feels insulted about being taken to Carl for approval. The sudden reappearance of Uncle Carl in the hands of his good friend, Frank Miller and a few unexpected phone calls asking for “The Chief” climaxs the situation; not to mention the appearance of a strange woman, a gun-moll, and five thousand stolen dollars. Fearing the peace of his home be disrupted, he thoroughly disapproves of Junior having an orchestra, or for that matter, anything to do with music. This makes a “madhouse” but one of melody, with Junior having secret orchestra rehearsals at his home in the hope that the Stanley Swingsters will be asked to play at a Society Debut of the Austin twins. Grandma, sister, Gladys all help make this an evening of fun, frolic, music and comedy. COMPLIMENTS OF NU-WAY CLEANERS ¥ CECIL BLACKWELDER Page Twenty-four
