GORMAN OSSOLA REDMAN DYER NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY Candidates for admission to the National Honor Society must possess the qualities of character, service, leadership and scholarship. These candidates are then considered by a faculty committee which recommends them for membership. Not more than fifteen per cent of the Senior Class and five per cent of the Junior Class are elected each year. On April 22, 1941, five members were initiated into the National Honor Society. The emblem of the society, which is a lighted torch placed on a keystone, was presented to the following Seniors: Arabella Hernandez, Antoinette Senatore and Helen Doering, and to Ralph Redman and Dorothy Dyer, Juniors.
