These candidates are then considered by a faculty committee which recommends them for membership. Not more than fifteen per cent of the Senior Class and five per cent of the Junior Class are elected each year. On April 22, 1941, five members were initiated into the National Honor Society. The emblem of the society, which is a lighted torch placed on a keystone, was presented to the following Seniors: Arabella Hernandez, Antoinette Senatore and Helen Doering, and to Ralph Redman and Dorothy Dyer, Juniors. Aldo Bettelli. Dick Boyd, and Maxine Ossola, active members since 1940, were in charge of the initiation. OFFICERS PRESIDENT Aldo Bettelli VICE-PRESIDENT .........................
