Dost thou love life? — Then do not squander time, for that is the stuff life is made Franklin Each year brings Flomaton High School many new faces as well as many new goals and achievements. FHS has taken several steps for- ward in looks, scores, and academics. Our logo, uniforms, and mascot have been a definite eye- pleaser for students and alumni alike. The football team, with its undefeated season, has given a brighter hope for the future. Academics now include an honor's diploma program, advanced courses, and for the first time an Advanced Placement American History Course with possible col- lege credit. Every past year takes a golden place in our memories just as every future year is given a golden place in our dreams. 7

Golden memories are gathered from year to year. The Hurricane staff strives each year to provide an effec- tive record of the year's events. For the past fifty years our yearbook has displayed several different titles Green White — 1937-1939, Flomascope — 1940-1947, and Hurricane —1948-. Many changes have taken place in these fifty years.
