To give the girls time to change before their talent, seniors Chris Norwood. Shannon Lambeth. John Fields, Gene Waguespack. and Jeff Upton per- formed a lip sine act and called themselves Van Tiffin. “Santa's Workshop.” the theme for the pageant, was carried out by using a mural of Santa's workshop and by toys displayed around the stage. The 1986 Miss FHS pageant, an annual event sponsored by the Senior Class, was under the direction of the class sponsors Mrs. Beverly Ferguson and Mrs. Sherrie Lisenby. Judge Earnest White served as emcee, as he has for several years. The Senior Class appreciates all the effort Judge White puts into the pageant. Servers for the tea were repre- sentatives from the Senior Class. Amanda Steadham, Alisa Lister, Sheila Ates, and Laura Parker prepared the refreshments for the tea. Dee Dee Brantley placed first in the talent awards, presenting a piano solo entitled “To God be the Glory,” “O’ That Will Be Glory. and “Amazing Grace.” Placing second in the talent was Christi Stewart, performing a dance routine to “He's A Dream.” Doing a dance routine to “Man Hunt” was Heather Stewart, who placed third. Finalists for the Miss FHS pageant were se- cond runner up. Dee Dee Brantley; first runner up Heather Stewart; Miss FHS Christi Stewart; Mr. FHS James Allen; fourth run- ner up Shellie Booth and third runner up Shar- man Owens. 19
