Students Grow With Individual Effort Clockwise from the top: took first in the fifty-yard Cindy Blair, Audrey Stead- ham, and Angie Steadham are the top collectors in the 1984 St. Judes Bike-A-Thon, spon- sored by the Jr. and Sr. Beta Clubs. Denise Smith receives a plaque from the Beta Club for having her poem Peace published in the February '84 issue of the Beta Club Journal. For the Special Olympics held at T. R. Miller High School on April 13, 1984, Patricia Dixon took second place in the fifty- yard dash, Barbara Benson dash. Sue White took first in the softball throw, and Jackie Price took fourth in the fifty- yard dash. History project winners are Paula Ates — first, Susan Curry — second, Kasey Nelson — third, Ronnie Dix- on and Tammy Owens — honorable mention. Flomaton's Lion's Club Presi- dent, M. A. Allgood, con- gratulates Dee Dee Brantley on being chosen to attend the Alabama High School Lion's Club Conference.
