Baseball ’83 First Row. Gary Morris, Ken Busbee, Greg Chavers, Ronnie Hammonds, Scottie White, Jeff Upton, Scott Hammonds, Robert English, James Johnson. Second Row: Coach Davidson, Mike Upton, Scottie Stewart, Anthony Straughn, Roosevelt Dixon, Derek Dixon, Murphy Dixon, Jimmy Fagan, Clifton Dixon, Ray Holland and Ray Barrow. The F.H.S. ’83 Baseball team finished their season with a record of 14-10. Under the coaching and discipline of Coach Anthony Davidson, the Hurricanes had wins over Earnest Ward, 6-5; Century, 5- 1; and W.S. Neal twice. The Hurricanes lost 3-2 to T.R. Miller in the 8th inning and lost to Luverne in area play 7-3. Under the leadership of Coach Judy Bell, the Flomaton Girls Softball Team had a record of 10 and 2. The girls had wins over Jay, 8-3 and 7-4; Castleberry, 6-5; Century, 14-6; Earnest Ward, 16-14; Elba, 17-2 and 6-5; and Florala, 23-13. The team lost once to Earnest Ward and Century. This was the second year Flomaton had a girls softball team. The 1984 Lady Hur- ricanes will be returning with valuable experience upon losing only three seniors. Softball
