Time Alters Fads and Favorites Time brings many changes. A recent poll of F.H.S. students, taken in Nov. 1983, showed changes in fashions, music, TV shows, and places to go on dates. New styles in clothing included different types of jeans. Some of these were Lee’s, Levi’s, Chic’s, and Calvin Klein’s. The OP (Ocean Pacific) t-shirt was the popular choice to wear with jeans, followed by Panama Jack, second, and Alabama Roll- Tide, third. The roll-down boots, the boat-shoes, and Nike tennis shoes were among some of the favorite shoe wear. Music has taken on many changes, also. For example, the number one band was ALABAMA. Other singers included Hank Williams, Jr. and Michael Jackson. Among the top songs was Michael Jackson’s “PYT” in the number one position. Others were “Islands in the Stream” by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton and “Fooling” by Def Leppard. The A-Team was the number one TV show, followed by Dynasty as the number two choice while Webster received the third highest vote for favorite TV shows. The movies still seem to be the favorite place to go on a date. “Parking” and Pensacola were also popular places for couples. h jq i y Fads and Favorites
