Representing the 1982 Senior Class as Valedictorian with a 7.2927 average is Fred Salter, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred S. Salter. Prior to atten- ding Flomaton High School he attended McCall )r. High where upon graduation in 1979, he was Valedictorian of the class. Fred is a member of the Beta Club, Joy Club, and Annual Newspaper Staff. He has been a member of the Flomaton High School Band for the past six years. His hob- bies include racquetball, music, horseback riding, swimming, and reading. After graduation his plans include attending the United States Military Academy at West Point and majoring in mechanical engineering. 18 Valedictorian

Representing the 1982 Senior Class as Salutatorian with a 6.4590 average is Tony Carden, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Carden. Prior to attending Flomaton High School, he attended McCall |r. High where upon graduation in 1979, he shared the honor of Salutatorian. Tony is a member of the Beta Club, Student Council, and is Vice-President of the Senior Class. He was chosen as Sr. Who’s Who - Most Athletic by the Senior Class. Throughout school, he has played football, basketball, and baseball. His hobbies include swimming, tennis, listening to the radio and reading sports articles. He also enjoys going to watch Alabama football games. His plans after graduation include attending the University of Alabama with a major in Computer Programming. Salutatorian 19
