SCHOOL SPIRIT What is school spir’t? Although your defi- nition OF IT may DIFFER FROM MINE, I THINK that school spirit is an intangible air of UNITY, FELLOWSHIP, AND COOPERATION WHICH PER- VADES THROUGHOUT THE STUDENT BOCY, THESE QUALITIES ARE EXPRESSED THROUGH YOU, THE STU- DENTS, IN VARIOUS WAYS—INITIATIVE IN PREPAR- ATION OF ASSIGNMENTS, COURTESY IN THE CLASS ROOMS AND HALLS, AND PARTICIPATION IN SCHOOL ACTIVI TIES. The COORDINATION OF THESE QUALITIES, UNITY OF FELLOWSHIP, AND COOPERATION IS THE VERY ESSENCE OF SCHOOL LIFE, IT iS '.N THE CLASS- ROOM THAT WE ARE TAUGHT THE IMPORTANCi: OF POSSESSING THESE ESSENTIALS Or GIVIZENSHIP. These qualities are not only necessary dur- ing OUR HIGH SCHOOL CAREER BUT THEY SHOULD BE TRANSFERRED AND RETAINED AFTER THE STUDENT IS GRADUATED AND BECOMES A MEMBER OF SOCIETY, TO YOU WHEN A JOB IS PLACED BEFORE YOU AND YOU DO! KNOW WHAT TO DO, JUST SET YOUR M|ND TO WORK AND THINGS WILL FOLLOW THROUGH.
