SOCIAL EVENTS OF THE YEAR The senior Class gave a farewell party for Carolyn Park January 19 in the home Ec. building. Many danced to the radio WHILE OTHERS PLAYED GAMES IN THE LIVING ROOM. ALL WHO CAME ENJOYED THE REFRESHMENTS BUT HATED TO SAY GOOD-BYE TO ONE OF OUR BEST CLASSMATES, CAROLYN MOVED TO MONTGOMERY WHERE SHE ATTENDED SIDNEY LANIER HIGH. Friday Night. March 29th was the time and The Twin City Community house , was the place for the annual Sophomore hop . They danced to the music of many of the best orchestras of the United States, which means that their music was recorded. Our Football players and Cheerleaders who worked so hard FOR OUR TEAM WERE WELL REWARDED BY THE FOOTBALL BANQUET GIVEN AT THE VOCATIONAL BUILDING. MANY OF THE PLAYERS, COACH, AND the Cheerleader gave speeches. They were served by the home ECONOMICS GIRLS. „ March 28th, 1940 marked the second successive year that •LOMATON HAS HAD THE HONOR OF BEING HOST TO THE PARENTS, TEACHERS, amd pupils of Escambia County on play Day, Mr.. Leon Mantel of mc'oulough was Piaster of ceremonies. During the morning the fol camcks and stunt3 were performed. The afternoon activities were son call games, and ?$ %ny kinds of races. The Flomaton p, 7, Av had charge of the selling of the food AND REFRESHMENTS. April 19th, the Senior Class gave a Dance at the Community House. Clarence Schenk and his orchestra furnished the music. Every member of the class took part. May 3RD. a DANCE WAS HELD AT THE COMMUNITY HOUSE WITH MUSIC by Clarence sbhenk. It was in Honor of the Senior wlass. a GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL April 17th was a night to remember. It was the Senior play EXCEPT IT WAS IN THREE ONE ACT PLAYS. PRACTICALLY ALL OF THE Seniors took part in the play.
