I hereby declare all previous promises to pay, wills or testaments made by me, as null and void. Frances Brown bequeaths to Mildred Ramsey her good looks and her latest Paris Fashions. Juette Golden wills her attractiveness to Nell Locklier. Edward Weaver, bequeaths into the able hands of Wafford Horton his daily arguments with Mrs. Vinson. We, the entire Senior Class, leave all pieces of string, both plain and fancy to Carolyn Park and Marilyn Stewart to be used in making rugs for their Hope Chests. Jimmie Taylor wills his two extra credits to Vera Adams. Lonnie Hall wills his height to Jonnie Davison. James Thompson and Ed. Weaver will their love of trains to Louis Bell and Zldridge Barnes. Helen Godwin bequeaths her admiration of the Road Dept. Personell to Zell Barnes. % Leon Rigby willa his 'Remote Control dancing to Forney Horton. Harold Morris CLASS POEM Feeble Words of Prayer Dorothy Barnes Dear God look down upon our class of thirty-nln?; protect us, dear God, as we are thine. Make us realize we'rr not children anymore; But men and women at life's front door. Give us love and kindness, I'll say, To do our best throughout each day . Confirm our minds to better thought, That we’ll achieve the things we ought. Guide our feet away from mortal sin, Make us worthy of our fellowmen. Ruby Ceil Davis enjoys telling jokds. These jokes will keen h r from running out of funny ones to tell. Since it is Impossible to give James Thompson Ed Weaver, I am giving him this clo,rn as a sub- stitute. Gladys Chancery doesn't make as much noise as a mouse. This whistle WH1 make enough noise so that she can be heard. Charles Jackson is another oulet member of the senior class so I am presenting him ’'1th this rattler, it will easily make enough noise for him to be heard. Cecil Graves has lovely curly hair. This hair curler will enable him to keep his hair curly at all times. Hilton Cook is the sleepy head of the class so nothing will please him more, I am sure, than this tiny pillar which will make him more com- fortable as he sleeps, Helon Godwin favors basket ball as her favorite sport so I am giving her this tiny basketball to remind her of her basket ball playing in high school Nannie Bell Long also favors basketball, so to her I am presenting this tiny basketball. Since Harold Morris seems to think California is so much better than Alabama, I am giving him this book on citrus fruits so that he may become better acquainted with the fruit indiistry of California. Edith Williamson is partial to green cars, so I am giving her this one to keep near her. Euline Coleman has an Interest in her Jseaux, so to her I give this yellow ribbon for her hair. To Leon Rigby I give this comb to remind him Mrs. Vinson's Economics class. Christine Young wants to be an actress so to the first to help her I am giving her this Lonnie Kail likes baseball, so well that this baseball is to serve as a memento of his baseball days in high school. Since Myrtice Dean has such gre' t interest in Greyhound busses, I am presenting her with this bus schedule so that she will be on time when the busses are due. T. W. Odom is a Jolly and likeable person so to keep him smiling and amused this puzzle is Just the thing for him. To Dorothy Barnes I give this book of poems and I hope she continues her work as a poet. To Lucy Baas I give this memorandum book so that she can keep a list of the things she wishes to do. I am presenting Tommie Donald with this map of the world as he has shown so much interest in world study this year. Edward Weaver is becoming more interested in pineapples. This can of pineapnles will be an incentive along the line of success in the pineapple industry. Wilson Adkinson was our football captain and less he should forget it we are giving him these miniture footballs. Eddie Lee English is Interested in the news- paper businee ' so to him we give this bottle of printer s ink Juette Golden wants to be a model so to her we give this little style guide to encourage her along the road to success. To Frances Brown we give this tube of kissproof lipstick to safe guard her boy friends. Lynwood Stanton needs reassurance of his good looks so to him we give this mlrrow. In rememberance of the classmates whose parting gifts filled this basket I, Zure Lee Gorum, will keep this b sket for future memories. CLAS? P.LuPLE 7:' by Fannie Bell Long Te; jears have elapoed since wo graduated from I .Iomaton High School, Many things have happened to the old crowd since then. Frances begin her course in nursing but had to give up and devote her time to'her home and husband, for she and Lynwood live in Chicago. Kelon Godwin, our class historian, is now a successful newspaper reporter for Montgomery Advertiser. If Kelon is as good at finding news for the paper as she was in getting school news, the newspaper will be a success, Wilson adkinson is our farmer. He has been touring the west, which proves his success. Several of the Old Gang have managed to work together these ten years, Harold Morris operates his own hospital and is a leading surgeon in San Francisco. Ho has emoloyed Edith Williamson as his head nurse; Dot Barnes dietician; Gladys Chancery, surgeon13 assis- tant; Myrtice Dean and Euline Coleman, xray technicians. Mary Cheatham, our best shorthand student, be- came secretary to the State Superintendent of Education, whom she married. Nannie Bell Long has been coaching plays in several cities. We are all disappointed in Ed V7eaver—we ex- pected him to be living on his pineapple farm but he gave up and decided become a doctor. Leon has accomplished his long desired goal. He has become associated with Paramount. With Lonnie's tall stories, he became a successful automobile salesman. Our great banker, James Thompson, has also become so successful as a ball player that he can hardly escape his feminine admirers. Hilton has not surprised any of us. After all his arguing in high school he has become a great lawyer. After several years of separation Jack and T. W. met again when they were assigned to the same station in the Navy. The only one of our class who chose the profession of teaching is Zure Lee. She married the principal of the school where .she taught. Charles Jrckson and Cecil G-r ves became so successful as reel estate dealers t at trey rere recently elected to the Board of Directors of Jane1s bank. Juette Solder, has becone a famous woclel and.
